MikoVerse is looking for an experienced Gameplay Engineer to work closely with the development team to iterate on our user-facing Unreal client as well as implement mechanics that make use of our MikoVerse back-end and networking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing gameplay architecture to support hundreds of networked players in a lobby

  • Developing systems with other engineers to allow end-users to design their own worlds without requiring deep technical knowledge from those users

  • Generalist engine work with a focus on gameplay but touching on auxiliary systems such as UI, animation, and other client specific work

REQUIREMENTS

  • Deep understanding of Unreal Blueprints and how to architecture systems within Blueprint

  • Deep understanding of the Unreal Editor to build out test levels and assist in level systems and scripting

  • Ability to communicate and implement mechanisms based on design intentions

  • Familiarity with the Unreal Marketplace and the ways users of Unreal Engine interact with the editor

PLUSES

  • Experience with Unreal C++

  • History of participating in Game Jams
